Out of all the digital marketing agencies in Leeds, Creode were first up on this year's School of Thought UK, offering participants a trip to Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity—but more importantly, a wealth of creative and strategic know-how to take with them over 12 hard, but hopefully absorbing weeks.
What’s the concept? 12 people, visiting a different agency every week, getting briefed on Monday, and going back to present their ideas on Thursday and get feedback on how they can push it even more.
For a first week, we did the introductions, set the mood right, shared a few tips…and set a pretty tough brief to a handpicked group of people from all sorts of backgrounds; a campaign for Brawn Powerlifting targeting women experiencing or entering the perimenopausal and menopausal stages.
Got to say, the team were blown away, by not just the range and depth of ideas, but also the level of research and insight that went into creating some cracking big ideas. On what is an important and sensitive subject, the concepts were executed with both tact and impact, by all—from creating show-stopping pitch theatre to knowing how to use humour and great lines and thoughts in between.
Safe in the knowledge that this group has a bright future ahead and a bunch of Leeds agencies have some real gems to work with over the coming weeks, Creode looks forward to the Wrap Party. That is a night of celebration after the completion of the programme where the participants get to showcase their best work from these 12 weeks and find out who’s the big winner.
