Vernon are a traditional regional Building Society providing a range of savings and Mortgage products, with 5 branches across the south of Greater Manchester.

The business plays heavily on it’s mutual status with a strong regional presence and ties to the local community.

In a highly competitive mortgage market driven primarily by rates, to create a point of difference it offers niche lending products like Buy for Uni, Holiday let and buy to let mortgages.

In the savings market it is focussed on offering longer term savings products, with competitive rates whilst taling about charitable foundation and how it helps local causes.

To promote these products the client needed a cost effective, flexible and laser focussed integrated campaign.

INSIGHT

The goal for most savers is to make their money grow. By talking to customers in branches, we discovered that knowing they were getting a good interest rate and that the Vernon was supporting worthy local causes made them feel confident that their money was in the right place.


OUTPUT

This insight was incorporated into the campaign message ‘The home of feel good savings’ and brought to life using a combination of digital and traditional executions including door drops, direct mail and digital display, paid media and SEO.
