THE CHALLENGE

Take the brand forward...in big steps

Behind Lightbulbs Direct lies a very well established and respected brand with great history. The online offering needed to look and feel different while not completely severing all connections.

The new website had to communicate with warehouse systems, hook up with drop shipping and cater for over 10,000 products.

THE SOLUTION

Keep it simple

From our research we found that a more literal representation of the business worked best. This was no place for abstract metaphors. Direct. Just like the name.

We then extrapolated the idea of clean, light colours and white space through into the initial web elements to make sure it would all hang together. We sorely needed to lift the visual language of the brand to match the new website and direction. We kept it simple, straightforward and light.

We used Magento as the platform to meet the needs of this demanding website.

The brand looked fresh in their competitor set and helped establish Lightbulbs Direct as a leading player.

The website integrated with many 3rd party pieces of software and gave a robust platform for the business to take forward.
