Phaidon Altas, Drupal

The Phaidon Atlas project is the first collaboration between Creode and the worldwide publishing house, Phaidon Press. Countless wireframes, design elements and 1000’s of lines of code later, PhaidonAtlas.com is launched to the world.

Phaidon Atlas features the work of internationally acclaimed architects alongside that of the next generation of emerging architectural stars from around the globe. The site includes every imaginable building type, from the smallest single houses, cafes and wineries to the largest museums, airports and embassies. The Atlas, the first of it’s kind to provide such architectural resource online boats a huge collection of designs, photos, drawings and information. With over 3000 buildings listed throughout 115 countries, the Atlas proves to hold a wealth of factual detail, priceless to any prospective and existing architects.

The system was built using the well known Open Source CMS; Drupal. Its’ robust and reliable structure enabled the team to develop a fast and responsive site, allowing information to be accessed with ease from any device, anywhere in the world. Integrated Ecommerce functionality is used to manage various levels of paid access to content, offering a stable and scalable business platform.

Live Search functionality allows users to quickly and easily search for their desired content:

Innovative, user friendly search

With more to come, Phaidon Atlas looks set to gain international success. Creode’s Account Director, Luke Harrison has hailed the innovative approach the Creode team have applied to the project; “by understanding the basic principles in which user’s would want to find architectural resource and inspiration, we were able to streamline their search. Matching a user to their desired search outcome as quickly as possible was a vital component to the site success”.

We hope to bring you more snippets and updates as the project progresses further. If you’re looking to work with Drupal, see how we can help you by visiting our Drupal Development page.
