You still need to be thinking about upgrading from Drupal 7, but the pressure is off for now. Drupal 8's end of life has not been extended and is still scheduled for 2nd November 2021, since the upgrade from Drupal 8 to Drupal 9 is much easier and won't have the same impact on business.
Which platform should I move to after Drupal 7?
There's no straightforward answer to that one. The choice of platform will depend on your business, your plans for your website and your budgets. For a lot of people migrating from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 will be the right choice.
