Creode is growing! Which means we're looking for a Copywriter to join our agency team and star in a broad range of work, from SEO content writing, website, ad and campaign copy, together with paid social and our own social activity. No agencies, thank you.

You may be a recent grad looking to barnstorm your way into the wonderful world of copywriting and conceptualising ideas. Or you may be one or two years into your first copywriting role either client or agency side and looking to broaden your skills within a digital marketing agency setting.

The Role

This is a new role, within the agency, so it's a real chance to shine. We're looking for someone to join our creative and content team who's not only keen to make an impact and craft their writing skills, but also develop their career working in and helping to grow a digital agency.

The role will involve writing website copy, ad copy and content for SEO, working with clients that include large national brands and small start-up and scale businesses. Our continuous improvement approach to digital marketing means that as an agency we play a vital role in their success and you will be key to that.

You'll be asked to

  • create effective, engaging copy in line with client and agency strategy

  • understand and deliver our clients' propositions and key messages to different audiences

  • write to a consistent tone of voice across multiple channels, appropriate for our clients' audiences

  • understand how to use and interpret TOV guidelines

  • work closely with our design team and Creative Director to ensure copy and visuals make for compelling creative

  • research your subject matter and use it to write original and engaging content

  • work closely with the paid media, SEO and wider creative team

  • present your thinking rationally, both internally and to clients as required

  • demonstrate a hunger to craft your art of writing, working with and learning from an experienced team

  • demonstrate experience of writing blogs, creative copy and ad copy

  • demonstrate outstanding ATD

  • work with an ability to multitask, prioritise work, and manage deadlines with minimum supervision

  • never be afraid to seek help from anyone in your immediate team and the wider Creode crew.

Useful to have

Ideally we’re looking for someone who has worked agency side in some capacity, either in a FT role or as work experience. Being used to managing multiple clients, prioritising work, and working as part of an integrated marketing team is an advantage. However, we would consider candidates who've worked in client-side SEO roles, and are looking for more experience and variety to their current role. We'd also consider candidates who may have recently graduated with a writing/creative-related degree, keen to forge a career in advertising and digital marketing who can demonstrate a good knowledge of what it would take to make this role a success.

Salary - up to £25K depending on skills and experience.
